Reiki
Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese healing practice developed in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui. The word “Reiki” is often translated as “universal life force energy”, and the practice is based on the belief that this energy supports overall wellbeing and balance.
During a Reiki session, Marc gently places his hands on or just above different areas of the body. Reiki practitioners believe this helps to support the flow of energy, encouraging relaxation, balance, and the body’s natural capacity for healing and recovery.
Many people find Reiki to be a deeply calming and restorative experience. It is commonly used to promote relaxation, reduce stress, support emotional wellbeing, and complement conventional healthcare and other therapeutic approaches.

Reiki may be helpful if you are:
-
Experiencing stress, anxiety, or burnout
-
Going through a difficult period emotionally
-
Dealing with grief or loss
-
Living with chronic pain or ongoing physical illness
-
Feeling emotionally or energetically depleted
-
Looking for deeper relaxation and nervous system support
-
Seeking a complement to other therapeutic or medical treatment
-
Curious about energy healing and open to exploring it
What Happens in a Reiki Session?
What Happens in a Reiki Session?

You arrive, settle in, and there’s no rush. Marc will take a few moments to check in with how you’re feeling and what you hope to gain from the session.
You’ll lie comfortably on a treatment table, fully clothed. There’s no undressing, no equipment, and nothing uncomfortable. Marc will guide you into a relaxed, meditative state before beginning the Reiki session, working intuitively with the body’s energy centres (chakras).
Hands may rest gently on the body or remain slightly above it, depending on what feels most appropriate during the session. All contact is respectful, professional, and always within your comfort level. Each session is unique, with the focus guided by your individual needs and responses on the day.
Most people find Reiki deeply relaxing. Some notice sensations such as warmth, tingling, emotional release, or a greater sense of calm and balance. Others simply enjoy the opportunity to rest deeply and may even fall asleep, which is perfectly normal.”
Can Reiki Be Done Online?
Can Reiki Be Done Online?
Yes, and this is one of the things that surprises people most.
Distant Reiki (sometimes called distance healing) is a recognised aspect of Reiki practice. Marc has trained in distant healing techniques and has found, and this might sound unexpected, that online sessions can be just as effective as in-person ones, sometimes more so.
You’ll be guided through the process from the comfort of your own home.
